Only those who have a certificate of eligibility for housing may move into a publicly subsidised flat (social housing).
The application for a certificate of eligibility can be submitted to the Olsberg Citizens' Service Centre; further processing takes place at the Hochsauerland district housing subsidy office in Brilon.

Fees are charged by the housing subsidy office. Please enquire there.
Necessary documents
- Proof of gross monthly income for the past 12 months, individually documented. This includes pension certificates, certificates of earnings, unemployment benefit, social assistance certificates, etc.
- School certificate, if applicable
- Severely disabled person's pass, if applicable
- Certificate of displacement, if applicable
