Ordering new installations, changing and removing traffic signs and road markings (insofar as they are defined by the StVo), traffic restrictions such as speed limits, diversions, closures, one-way streets and traffic lights.
The tasks of the road traffic authority are, for example
- Ordering road signage (traffic signs)
- Authorisation of work sites on roads (construction sites)
- Events that affect public traffic (public festivals, cycling)
- Authorisations for heavy goods transports, high-capacity transports and hazardous goods transports
- Permits for Sunday driving bans / public holiday driving bans
