The town of Olsberg operates a voluntary fire brigade to fight fires and provide assistance in the event of accidents and other public emergencies. Fire prevention is achieved through fire inspections, fire safety guards and an adequate supply of extinguishing water (basic supply).
There is currently 1 fire brigade unit (town centre) and 9 fire brigade groups in the districts.
