Parental contributions in day care centres

Parental contributions are charged for attending a child day care centre (kindergarten or child day care) and serve to cover part of the costs of running a child day care centre.

The amount of the parental contribution to be paid is graded according to income, in accordance with the Hochsauerlandkreis statutes on the levying of parental contributions.

The current contribution table and the parental contribution statutes can be found under "Downloads" and "Legal basis".

Parental contributions in open all-day schools (OGS)

Parental contributions are charged for attending open all-day childcare. This form of childcare is currently available at three primary schools: Bruchhausen, Bigge and Olsberg.

The amount of the parental contribution to be paid is graduated according to income, in accordance with the statutes of the town of Olsberg on the collection of parental contributions.

The current contribution table and the parental contribution statutes can be found under "Downloads" and "Legal basis".

Upon application, the parental contribution can be waived both in day care centres and in open all-day schools if the burden is not reasonable. This can be applied for on the basis of receipt of the following benefits: ALG II, basic income support, housing benefit, asylum benefits and child supplement. Please get in touch with the relevant contact person.
