Jöhstadt

in the silver Ore Mountains

The mountain town with around 1,800 inhabitants lies at an altitude of 670 to 821 metres. One attraction is the Preßnitz Valley Railway, which runs from Jöhstadt via Schmalzgrube to Steinbach. The Bahn'l - as the locals affectionately call it - was painstakingly rebuilt by hand as a museum railway. The partnership with Jöhstadt began after reunification. It was established in 1990 with a friendly pledge.
