
Documents relating to the history of the town of Olsberg and its districts are permanently stored in the archives of the town of Olsberg.
The town archive makes these documents available for use on the basis of archiving regulations and provides information. The archive also advises the municipal organisational units on archival issues and promotes research into and communication of the town's history.
The documents stored in the city archive include documents, official records, files, maps and plans, posters, card indexes and books.
Responsibility (archive district)
The archives of the town of Olsberg hold documents relating to the present-day town of Olsberg and the former Amt Bigge.
The Amt Bigge comprised fifteen municipalities until its dissolution in 1974:
